Mission
Inspector’s Academy is dedicated to the task of providing quality, convenient, and low cost training to building inspectors for the purpose of obtaining a variety of inspection certifications.
Our Origin
Inspector Academy is a private company not affiliated with The Division of State Architect or the State of California and founded by independent DSA Certified inspectors tired of the difficulties associated with finding adequate training materials and instruction targeted toward the various inspector and special inspector certifications that are part of the industry now.

A graduate of the U.S.C. School of Architecture, Khurt has a diverse background in the construction industry and education. He has worked as a designer, building contractor, developer, inspector, and educator since graduating in 1987. Inspector Academy is a synthesis of his experience in construction and education.

Steve is a fixture in the DSA inspection community. For over 30 years he has worked as a masonry contractor, builder, and DSA inspector. Payte Inspections is a thriving inspection organization with over $500 million of DSA inspection work completed.
